Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I came in this morning at my usual time of four in the morning. It Is the Monday after the four day Thanksgiving holiday break. I did my walk around and then crank up the engine. It is in the forties this morning so I was anxious to get the heat on this morning!
After crank up, I drove my car to the employee parking lot, walked back to find that the engine had shut down! I cracked it up again, and a red warning light comes on! It shut down again.
I need water and more light, so I crank it up again and drive to the fuel island where we have a water hose and large overhead lights. I fill up the water tank and find a big water leak under the trucks cab!
I called central dispatch, they try to call Sam Atkinson, who was dispatching for Cole Nelson. Sam didn't answer, so I cannot get a replacement truck. Central don't know what truck to give me, and Sam is not answering his phone.
I had to wait for the shop guys to get in. They looked at it and found out that there is a water filter behind the cab, outside going to the in-transit heater lines. It was a little loose and it just needed to be tightened up! I didn't even know that there was a water filter there!
When they told me that they were finished, I was making some coffee for the road, and KW Dreier walked in the door! I told him that I had a water leak and he knew exactly where it was located. It seems that everyone has had problems with that filter either leaking or needing a filter replacement!
That made me feel a little better! Anyway, I got on the road at seven-in-the-morning. I am now two-and-a-half hours late and I have two loads to do.
Have you ever had a water leak before? Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
