First Day Out Of Truck Driving School

Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!

I had a new trainee today. He wasn't just any trainee, but this was his first day out truck driving school! So he was as green as the springtime grass!

He's not a young kid though, that's probably why he Trimac Transportation hired him right out of truck driving school. He's an older gentleman of 42 years old, and very mature for some of the other trainees they've been hiring.

And to make matters worse, not only was it his first day out of truck driving school, but the roads were wet because it was raining all morning today. The weather stayed in the 40s and 50s all day and with drizzly rain. That made the roads very hazardous to drive on!

I kind of joked with him during the day that he's really getting broken in good, and all he needs now is a DOT inspection to finish the day off. But he did a very, very good job, I kept reminding him to keep his clearance from other vehicles and drive at a safe speed.

His driving was very good considering that he's just out truck driving school, and he did a very good job and he didn't even have any situations they got into In fact his driving was like someone had that has been driving for years.
