Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I had the best trainee that I have had in years! His name is Dominique and every time I asked him something, his response was either yes sir or no sir! He is the most respectful person that I have meet in a long time. He is a young twenty-six year old black man with dreadlocks from Slidell, LA.
We did my regular load of Freon to Daikin in Waller, TX. We dd a fast drop and hook and brought back my container for tomorrow. I had a twelve-thirty Dow in Freeport, TX to load. So, I had no time to waste!
He drove back to the yard and we hit some heavy rain going back to the yard! I got my trailer to load and found out that it had no product cap and was wet inside! After I had the shop put on a product cap I swung around to the fuel island to mop it out!
I popped out the dome so that the trailer could air out. Halfway to Freeport, with heavy rain in front of me, I had Dominique close up the dome! It was a good call because we drove into heavy rain the rest of the way to Freeport.
We got to Dow in time to load! We drove to the loading rack and checked in at the office. He immediately said that the scale was broken and that they had called the scale people. But he said that there would be a delay!
Two hours later and I ask again and they said that they scale guy came and left and didn't say anything. They called him and he said that it would be a two to three hour delay in the repair! I was already there for two hours!
So, I called Cole and told him about the situation and I headed back to the yard. Out of time! Just before the yard we hit some more heavy rain and got back to our flooded yard! When I got back to the yard and released Dominique and drop and hook with tomorrow's container. Cole calls me and said that he didn't actually tell me to return! I informed him that I was already back on the yard!
