Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I had a trainee today that is from Port Isabel, TX, which is in the Valley. He is a middle aged Hispanic gentleman named David Gorham. I asked him how he got a gringo name, he replied that he didn't know.
He has never been a truck driver before and has everything to learn. He went to truck driving school, Sage, in San Antonio, TX.
He was a security guard at an apartment complex and a part time fishing guide! He will be driving for an owner operator that he knows and works for us.
I only had my regular schedule load of Freon to Daikin in Waller TX. Work has slowed down, so it looks like I will have shorter days.
I had David drive us back to the yard after getting fuel at the Love's truck stop in Waller TX. We first went to Love's, but they were working on the fuel pumps and the wait was thirty minutes to an hour. So we went to VLS Recovery to drop an hook, went back to Love's and they were wrapping up.
While waiting I went inside and bought a new fan for the truck. After yesterday at LBS I needed one!
