Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I came in Tuesday after having four days off for the New Years holiday. I was scheduled to have one load but since the plant (Daiken) ran Monday they added the second load for today.

When I was hooking up my first load Jeff told me that he made two pots of chili and he brought one of those pots to work. He brought a crock pot where he can keep it warm all day.
First thing I noticed was it was a Kansas City Chiefs crock pot. He is from Missouri so I guess we can give him a pass for that. I stopped watching professional football since the Houston Oilers left town! Now I'm aging myself!
But I'll certainly eat chili no matter which crock pot it's in. I grabbed a bowl, open up the lid, and scooped up a bowl full. The first spoonful let me on fire! They cook this chili with lots of peppers in it!
After the first spoonful it was kind of hard to talk. I told Jose who was standing there that I had a Gringo mouth and was having problems with it. Jose had some chili too, and we ate our chili together inside the welding shop.
I ate about half of my bowl, took it, and I start walking back to the truck to monitor the unloading. After the first spoonful it wasn't near as hot anymore, I guess my mouth was starting to get used to it. Even a Gringo mouth can get used to some chili peppers.
It was a nice gesture for Jeff to do that for everyone and his crew. It was certainly nice of him to invite me to have a bowl too. It's always nice when the guys in the shop take care of the truck drivers.
