Fuel Fiasco

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

This is just one story, of a series of stories, To illustrate how truck drivers are their own worst enemy.

Years ago Trimac Transportation at fuel islands at each terminal.  The drivers would come late at night and steal fuel.  He was always owner operators, These are truck drivers who own their own trucks, and Lease out to the company.

They would pump fuel late at night, when nobody was around to watch, and not record it. It was an off and on problem for years. So when the fuel tanks need to be cleaned out, and the fuel pumps replaced, the company decided not to do it.

The cost of replacing the fuel system was expensive, but another major reason was owner operators stealing fuel. So because of that, the company decided to eliminate having fuel on the yard. So now we have to go to the truck stop and get fuel for the truck.

The only good side of this is we get points at the truck stop and we can get things for free from the shop. But still, this is another way that truck drivers over the years, have become their own worst enemy!
