Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
It's Monday morning, and last Friday I wrote up my truck for a broken windshield. I had collected two rock chips in it, and it had been cracking for at least a month. I wanted to wait till it's convenient for me to have it fixed.
It's Monday morning, and last Friday I wrote up my truck for a broken windshield. I had collected two rock chips in it, and it had been cracking for at least a month. I wanted to wait till it's convenient for me to have it fixed.
I had taken Friday off so I disconnected from my loaded trailer. That allowed my tractor would be free. I let my dispatcher know I'd be writing up the truck, so he wouldn't dispatch it. He told me to talk to the shop people to have it scheduled for the windshield replacement.
I certainly did that, and I left it outside the shop for them to fix it. So Friday it was down for repairs, and then we had the weekend, and then now it's Monday morning. I can go back to work with a new windshield.
I was a little shocked and surprised how clean the inside of the tractor was after the new windshield was replaced. Because glass people are notorious for doing sloppy jobs, and leaving tons of glass inside the tractor.
Usually I have to spend several days picking up glass debris on the inside of the tractor, after a new windshield is put in. The worst is the back window, when they replace the back window, it's always got glass inside the tractor cab.
But this time it was a clean job, and I was pleasantly surprised. Have you ever had to put a new windshield in? If you have can you tell me about it in the comments section? If you enjoy these stories and want to read all of them, you can click on the "follow" button to follow this blog.
