Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
My wife and I, and my elderly mother, flew to Wisconsin this summer to visit my mother's relatives in Central Wisconsin. My aunt and uncle, Jerry and Nancy Mankowski, live just outside of Wautoma, Wisconsin, on the old family dairy farm.
I'm a truck driver now, and my Uncle Jerry was a truck driver for twenty-five years for a local company in the sixties and seventies. He drove all twenty-five years without any kind of accident! Jerry and Nancy was invited by the governor of Wisconsin for lunch. Jerry and Nancy ate with the governor with his wife, In the governor's mansion in Madison Wisconsin.
He also told me his CB handle was Pole Cat. They gave them that handle because Jerry is hundred percent Polish. My CB handle is The Legend, my co-workers gave me that handle because they thought that I am old!
I spend a week there in Wisconsin visiting them. While we're there Jerry and I told trucking stories that we experienced over the years. It was great to sit with him as an equal telling stories about our shared profession.
