Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
Well we got a new driver named Thomas Stewart. What makes him unusual and unique is that he is white. White meaning Caucasian. That's unusual because it's very, very, rare that we hire white people out here at this company.
He drove a bus for ten years in Champaign Illinois. Before that he drove a UPS truck delivering packages to people's houses but he decided sometime ago to drive a truck for a living.
He said he drove the bus at night and it was getting a little dangerous. His wife did medical billing for a local hospital. Instead of going to a truck driving school there, they moved the entire family to San Antonio, Texas, to go to Sage Truck Driving School.
Sage Truck Driving School in San Antonio, Texas, is one of three driver training companies in the entire country that have an excellent rating with the Professional Truck Drivers Institute. So Thomas felt he needed to go there for training.
I also found out that Trimac doesn't hire unexperienced drivers, unless they've been to one of those three different schools. I was not aware of that, but he showed me on Trimac's website, then I became a believer!
The old bus driver did his research well, they moved to San Antonio, he got his training, graduated and got a job with Trimac Transportation. He is now living in the Houston area and working with us.
