Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was saying the truck offloading my second load of the day, when Kenny comes running by on his bicycle. I said to him, "Hey, Kenny how you doing?" Kenny is a young white man, twenty-nine years old, who's been around plant for a couple years.
He was Bob's helper for a while, until Bob got rid of him, because he didn't want to work, because he's a little lazy. Bob is the maintenance guy who keeps this plant running! But that makes no difference to me. Kenny's a nice guy nice to talk with on occasion.
When Bob got rid of him they moved him to another craftsman. Then they moved them again to another department. He told me he had been moving tables and chairs around and cleaning this and cleaning that. It was a lot more house cleaning duties.
He was unhappy with it so he was thinking about getting his commercial driver's license, a CDL. His brother is a truck driver, and owns his own truck. And Kenny has been thinking about doing the same thing.
And Kenny told me he lived only five minutes from the plant, I told him to forget about it. Living so close to the plant is a very big perk. I told him to stay here, and try to make it here.
He responded, "Yeah I think you may be right about that." He did see the benefits of working here. I told him everybody's getting moved around here lately, and he probably will be moved again soon. It would be better to stick it out here.
