Carbon Dioxide Leak!

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Today while I was unloading my second load of Freon for the day, I started seeing people walking out the factory.  Normally that's not an unusual sight. Especially at this time of the day which is about shift change time. But the people kept coming out! This time a lot more than normal!

Instead of a few hundred people coming out which is normal shift change amount, this time thousands were coming out! So  I asked for the painters was going on. She said somebody had either turned the fire alarm handle on, or it was broken.

I turned on the radio to find out what was going on, They had isolated the problem to a certain location. From the plant handheld radio, I still  couldn't get an understanding of what is going on. When the trailer was empty I called facilities to come help me unhook. Kenny came to assist me.

I asked him what was going on, He had told me there was a carbon dioxide leak. A forklift driver somehow ran into a carbon dioxide tank, and puncture the hole in it! They couldn't figure out a way to turn off the leak, so they pulled the fire alarm handle! I left them as they were trying to figure out how to stop the leak. All the employees were allowed to come back inside to work, since carbon dioxide is not flammable, and the building is extremely large.

I asked Kenny what they were even doing with the carbon dioxide tank in the factory to begin with. He told me there's a lot of machines in the factory, and some of them needed carbon dioxide. He didn't know why, He never went in that part of the factory.

 It just goes to show what a forklift driver can do! Just one careless act can cause such chaos to so many workers. Not only that but the factory probable lost thousands of dollars. One guy one a forklift....
