The Junk Car Man

Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!

I has two today named Richard Rios. He's a Hispanic fellow from the North Shore area of Houston, Texas. He had driven before for an owner operator who had ripped him off. That is going to drive for one of our owner operators, Little Juan.

He was very talkative and tell me a lot of stories. Most were about himself and his past. Well the things he likes to say is that people call him the junk man. Even though he drives a truck today, he used to be in the junk business. So people still remember him as the junk man.

Emma's friend had bought a truck and trailer with the winch on it. There we go around looking for junk cars to buy. Big by the car for a few hundred dollars and go deliver it to the recycling plant. And that's how they made their money.

If it had any valuable items on the car they would take that off first and sell it separately. Like aluminum rims on the tires, radios, but especially the catalytic converter. That's because the catalytic converter can be resold for hundreds of dollars at a parts store.

Richard got out of the junk car business because too many people are now doing it. Because so many people are doing it now as drive the prices down on the price of scrap metal. So with no more money in junk cars he's now driving a truck. In life, you got to do what you got to do!

Have you ever been in the junk car business? If you have can you tell us about it in the comment section? If you enjoy these short stories about my work, you can follow it, by clicking on the follow button at the top of the home page.
