Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
Before I could get word of the cancellation of my second load of Freon, both Cole and Jeana were trying to call me! I was dropping my chassis at the time at VLS Recovery Services.
Cole wants me to preload a trailer at Exxon in Baytown, Texas. I told him that he better not be messing with me, or there would be trouble! I did take a lunch break before returning to the yard.
I dropped my Freon trailer for the chemical trailer, mopped some water, and headed to Exxon. I had to teach class tonight, so I was hoping that Cole didn't lie to me. He told me it takes only an hour and a half to load.
I was told to go to rack 26, which is way in the back! So I drive there and just have to wait for a few minutes for another Trimac truck to finish up. There is a neon green liquid flowing on both sides of the street, but I have to drive through it! I ask the loader what is is, but he doesn't want to say anything!
They start the loading and I am up by the dome, waiting to latch it down. I then heard a loud bang! I looked up and there was a scaffolding truck driving by, I thought that the bang came from it. After loading, the loader informs me that the Univar truck driver, had hooked up to his trailer, and it unhooked itself and dropped on the ground! .
The loader said that the ground shook when the trailer hit the ground! When I drove by, going back to the gate, it really dropped low to the ground! The driver was a big middle aged black man. He will have to work hard to jack up the trailer in the hot humid air! Hopefully the trailer was not damaged, but I would be surprised if it wasn't!
