Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was standing there talking with Wiley Suttles at the Goodman plant in Waller, Texas. He mentioned that he's flying to Denver on vacation and was surprised there was a 2-hour flight.
I told him that it takes forever just to get out of Texas! Wiley readily agreed and told me about his trucking story, from Texarkana to El Paso. He's a maintenance man now, but he's an old truck driver.
He said he was delivering a load of milk in Arkansas, and stopped in Texarkana, Texas, at a truck stop to refuel. That's when another one of their drivers stopped and said dispatch was looking for him. After refueling he called Terry, his dispatcher, to find out what he wanted.
Terry ask that if he was empty, Wiley he said he was indeed empty. He said you need to drive to Stephenville, Texas to pick up a load of milk and take it to the El Paso, Texas. Then go back to Stephenville, Texas, reload and bring it to Longview, Texas!
So Wiley drove to Stephenville, Texas, to a dairy there, and drop his empty and hooked up the hose to the tanks and then re-hook to a loaded trailer. He drove to El Paso, Texas, where he unloaded his trailer of milk. Wiley then returned empty to Stevensville, Texas.
Wiley then dropped his empty trailer, then hook to an already loaded trailer of milk. Wiley then drove that loaded trailer to Longview Texas. I told Wally that his butt must have really hurt after that trip. He said yeah those one stack Mack shack back in the day we're not very comfortable!
