Busted!

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I had just parked my truck for the day, and had finished my paperwork, but I needed to talk with Jeana Burke, one of my dispatchers, to get my paperwork corrected.  I slipped on my safety glasses and yellow safety vest, I did they post trip inspection on my truck and trailer, then started walking to the office.

As I was walking around the shop and standing by the shop door was Sam Atkinson, and the shop lady.  Sam is our terminal manager, the shop lady makes the schedules out for the mechanics, and does the ordering of parts.

As I walk past them they were talking with each other. Sam looks at me and says, "thank you very much for wearing your safety vest, you're one of the few who do so." I look at both of them and kind of smiled. With that same smile on my face, and a fun tone of voice, I replied, "where is your safety vest at?"

Both of them were standing in the area of the yard that requires safety equipment, namely a safety vest and safety glasses. Both of them were not wearing them!  It was the ultimate gotcha!  There was a safety free zone about ten feet away, surrounding the smoking bench, but it was ten feet away!

Sam also had a little smile on his face, saying, as he looks over at the safety-free zone surrounding the smoke bench. I looked over there too, and reminded him that we're about ten feet from the safety free zone.

We all just kind of look at each other and grinned.  I said that and good nature, and he took it in good nature.  We didn't say anything but we just got a grinned and smiled. I walked away very satisfied that I busted them of something. Being the terminal manager, he's usually busting another people!
