Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I came to work at four in the morning as usual, but not really. This is the last load of Freon to Daiken in Waller TX. It looks like Honeywell is going to take over from now on! So I was a bit solomn this morning!
I get my truck and trailer and park by the office, get my paperwork. I take it out of my mailbox and I see paperwork for loading Freon today and delivery Friday. Well, today is Wednesday. I guess no load tomorrow, but Friday!
That's okay since I have to go to court tomorrow morning anyway! Did Honeywell miss their first load? Are they not yet ready? Are they coming tomorrow but not Friday? I don't know any of those answers!
I then made some coffee and was sitting there watching the news, when Mike Adams walked in the door. He then says that his wife got a fourteen-thousand dollar bonus with a big pay raise!
Mike Adams is the only person that I know that would get angry about his wife getting a pay raise! I'd be happy, but I guess that it's just me. He then said that they appreciated her and Trimac doesn't appreciate him. I agreed with him on that sentiment.
He then complained that next week's company fajitas meal is not for the drivers but only for the office staff. I also agreed with him about that! I got my coffee and left to my truck and head over to Waller, TX.
I get to Daiken in Waller TX, I unloaded and both Wiley and Fernando said that a Honeywell truck would deliver tomorrow and I will be there Friday. That would explain my Trimac paperwork. But VLS Recovery didn't know anything about it and Arkema didn't either.
After several hours waiting at VLS Recovery, Arkema finally called and told me to go back to the yard. When I was getting off of beltway eight, Cole Nelson called me to tell me the same thing, I told him that I was fifteen minutes away!
Have you ever lost a good paying job? Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
