Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
Okay, now this is about six-months late! But Ronnie Martin, our training professional just had his thirty years anniversary working here. That's a long time to work at one employer! That kind of commitment is hard to find these days.
Ronnie Martin started with DSI Transportation thirty years ago working on the wash rack cleaning out chemical trailers. He soon would become the was rack supervisor. He did that for years until the stress of the job made him quite.
He then started to drive for us. He drove a chemical truck for us for many years. Then about five years ago he was made a training manager. He has always done a fantastic job in whatever position he was working in.
They surprised him here at our yard with a small cake. It was a very small gesture but a nice one anyway. If he had worked for me for thirty years I would have done a lot more for him!
I just want to take the time and say that Ronnie Martin is the nicest guys around who would literally give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. I am honored to be a part of his life if only in a small way.
Do you know of anyone who has worked somewhere for thirty-years? Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
