Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
This morning I had my regular schedule load of Freon to Daiken in Waller TX. I head out and make my delivery. It went well and I went across the street to get my loaded container for tomorrow.
That's when I found out that there were no containers loaded and ready to go. They needed to finish up the vapor recovery on one of them. I had no choice but to wait for it to be done, it took almost three-hours!
I finally got it and drove to the Loves Truck Stop and took my thirty-minute break, and it was just in time! While I was there, I walked in the truck stop to use the bathroom. I seen a cell phone on the ground! I picked it up and gave it one of the fat ladies working there. They were kinda of ho-hum about it.
While I was there I got a couple of hot dogs to go and headed out. While I was still there Cole, my dispatcher called me and told me he had put me on a Stolthaven preload. I returned to the yard and get hooked up.
After a fast trip to the bank I head out, it's now two-in-the-afternoon! I started this morning just before four-in-the-morning! I know that I should have turned down this load!
I head out anyway to Stolthaven, a tank farm about thirty minutes away. I pull up on one of the two scales, which I was encouraged by an empty scale. The other truck on the other scale was an immigrant from Syria driving with Service Transaction.
Gerry, the Stolthaven scale guy, said that he would have to look for the load and for me to park in the bypass lane. Sitting there I dozed off and didn't hear him call me. He walked out and told me that I was in the wrong place and I needed to load at Equastar in Channelview, TX!
I call Cole and he doesn't answer his phone, do I left a message on his voicemail. At this point I only have two hours to work and I'm thirty minutes away from the yard, so I head back to the yard!
I get back to the yard and turned in my paperwork to Cole didn't listen to my message. When I told him, he was pissed off. He yelled at me that I need to communicate! I yelled back that we could communicate if he would answer his phone and listen to his messages! He stopped and so I stopped and walked away!
Have you ever had a yelling match at work? Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
