John McClinton Died

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I had my regular schedule load of Freon to Daiken in Waller TX this morning. It all went well and I got a little writing done.  Jeremy came out to help me unhook.  Jerry was there also for a few minutes.

John is on the right.

I heard that there was a big meeting this morning.  The Laotion guy in the shop here at Daiken has upset some people. Some of the guys were taking pictures of him smoking where he should not be.  Some others are threatening to beat him up. I like the guy.  He is always nice to me. Jerry said that he is not a nice guy that I know.

I got my load for tomorrow and returned to the yard. I sat around and waited to see if I needed to return to VLS Recovery and take TIFU 524080 to Boaso in Channelview for it's inspection.  They didn't call back.

John washed out tank trailers for Trimac.

While sitting there Ms. Dianne walked in and said that John McClinton Died of ALS.  He had worked for DSI/Trimac for 35 years until he got fired for jumping into a tank without a hole watch. He worked here a long time!

John and I had some good times and some bad times together.  But, over all, he was okay.  I almost whipped his ass a few times over the years, I'm glad now that I didn't!

John McClinton
John started with us with DSI Transportation thirty-five years ago!  He started as DSI's mailman.  He would drive the company pickup and delivered mail between the Deer Park yard, Corporate Headquarters in Houston, Beaumont, San Antonio, all over Texas and Louisiana.

He also, in those early days, worked in the company cafeteria.  Some of his relatives cooked and John moved stuff around and cleaned up.  Later, he worked on the wash rack cleaning out tank trailers.
