Kentucky Transfer

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I had a trainee yesterday, his name was Thomas Sadukis, from Louisville Kentucky.  He is a transfer from the Lewisville yard.  He'll be working out of Bayport but he lives in Austin TX.

He grew up on a dairy farm in Southern New Jersey, but his parents died in early age and him and his four siblings were raised by an aunt and uncle.   He has five children of his own and they are raised and gone.

Thomas driving now Bayport because the branch is closest to Austin or dry balk and he doesn't want to drive dry bulk.  And Tom wants to buy his own truck and it'd be easier to do in Bayport.

Tom is a sixty-three year old white guy who is retired from Cummins. He was a diesel mechanic.   But he always wanted to drive a truck, so here he is!

I had my regular scheduled load of Freon to Daikin in Waller TX.  after unloading we went across the street and got tomorrow's load, which we brought back to the yard.

We had to eat a quick lunch since we had a loading time of noon for a preload!  Well Tom ate his lunch I went and drove around looking for the trailer.  I drove around several times and could not find it, finally I had to call Cole.

he said he forgot to look to see where it was and we finally located it at Qualawash.  I told him I couldn't make the noon pick up.  He told me that it wasn't a problem that are flexible on their hours.

So Tom and I went to Qualawash and we found the trailer.  We picked up the trailer it was an old fortress company trailer.  That's a cut me Trimac  bought out last summer.  Close to it was a damaged trailer from another company.  The picture that trailer is above!

Tom and I then went to the shipper.  KL Chempak on Genoa-Red Bluff road.  Even waiting for another trailer to load, the loaded us in the hour and a half.  Really nice folks working there.

Tell me then took the trailer back to the yard.  The trailer needed a new dvir box which I had the shot put on.  I let time go at this point to go home.  Then I dropped and hooked for tomorrow's load.
