Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I had a woman student today. Her name is Trinett and she is a thirty-two year old black woman from New Orleans and will be driving for the Giesmer Branch. She was early for work at four in the morning. She is just out of truck driving school and I have her for her first day of training!
We did my usually Freon load to Daikin in Waller, TX and when we went to VLS, they had no load returning because they were out of Freon. All of their rail cars and containers were now empty and they had nothing to give me. So I dropped my empty container on the scale and I had Trinett drive the bobtail back to the Branch. While coming back we listened to a Spiritual Healing class on the radio.
After lunch on the yard, I had Trinett hook to the next loaded trailer while I went to the bathroom. When I got out I seen her drive around, then to the other side of the yard. When she didn't come back around I walked to find her and she was hooked to the trailer but not the dolly legs.
We started on our way to Fresno, TX, I have Trinett driving to get some slosh time in. We got the Beltway eight and Genoa-Red Bluff intersection, there are six or seven cops with the lights and sirens on going into a Shipley donuts shop. One cop was even running on foot across the Beltway eight feeder road!
As we passed the Donuts shop I looked in the shop and a guy is on the phone and behind the shop are all of the cops in the bushes arresting a guy on the ground! It looks like he tried to rob the place! The Pasadena Police got there fast and got the guy!
We get to the Nalco place in Fresno, TX and they unload the trailer, and we are out of there. While returning, on Fairmont and Genoa-Red Bluff there is a cop, fire truck and an ambulance behind a small black car! I'm not sure what they are doing.
I park the dirty trailer on the spot to drop it, while I'm doing that, Trinett gets her stuff and leaves the Branch! All without saying anything! That's a first for that!
Anyway I have a good chat with dispatch and Diane. It was a good day, but kinda of a crazy day!
