Pump Drive Blew Up

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I got to the Goodman plant at seven in the morning, to deliver my first load of Freon, only to find out there was a crowd in the unloading area! There was eight maintenance technicians there, only one was working, but seven were watching.

I couldn't park in my unloading spot because there was a forklift and three bicycles sitting there. But I wasn't going to offload anyway, till they get the issues cleared up, so I just sat there and practiced my patients.

Finally I grabbed my coffee cup, and walked over there to see what the problem was. One of the refrigerant pumps blew up, and blew the fuses, and one of the fuse boxes! That caused the alarm to go off and for the factory to lose Freon pressure! That meant that all of the assembly lines came to a sudden stop!

So the maintenance guys were working on that, they had to disconnect that pump and bypass it. They had to replace a couple of fuses. And they are the test all the electronics in the control panel.

They got it done in timely fashion, and I didn't really lose a whole lot of time. They got it all repaired, and I got offloaded in pretty much my normal time. So I guess I got a little blessed there.
