Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was training a new driver today, and met him the driver's room. His name is Antuan Delk. He's a middle-aged, middle height, plump African American.
What made him stand out is that he was very well spoken. I could tell immediately that he was a reader of books, and that he had a decent education. He wasn't somebody out the hood. Also I would pleasantly discover that he is a Republican!
And it turns out he was quite the gentleman. I gave him the nickname of the "gentleman driver." His driving skills was just as impressive as his manners. His driving skills was excellent, and his conduct all day was very excellent.
In this industry that's a rarity. The truck drivers of today are quite uncouth and unsavory. They certainly are not somebody you take home to mama. But this guy was very different.
Have you ever had a co-worker that was well-mannered and stood out? Can you tell us about it in the comment section? If you enjoyed this story, and would like to catch future stories, you can click on the "follow" button at the top of the page.
