A Pump Broke!

Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!

It's Friday afternoon, I'm here at VLS Recovery Services, to pick up my preload for Monday. Well I can't do that because they have nothing loaded today! Then I see them working on the pump! That means there's no containers loaded, and the pump is broken!

I've been complaining all summer to these guys about not keeping the trailers loaded like they should. Because if something happens like this, or the fire they had a few months ago, then they could have some loaded containers ready to deliver to the plant.

Instead of asking me how many loads we have that day, I told them to just load all of them, then just reload the one's coming in. Now the pump is broken, and there is no loaded containers! So I just bobtailed back to the yard, and keep my fingers crossed that the broken pump will be a quick fix.

I've already complained to the manager, and the supervisor, and the loader. But nobody seems to listen, and they seem not to care too much. I'm retiring from my trucking career in three months, so maybe I should stop caring too.

I bobtailed back there early Monday morning, and they had two containers loaded! The pump was a fast fix, and they spent all day Saturday loading those two trailers so they would be ready first thing on Monday. I get paid by the hour and so lost only a half days pay.
