Driver Of The Year?

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I got a phone call from the safety department over a week ago! The safety man said he wanted to see me in his office, and he really was kind of vague  about what it was about!

All of the trucks have cameras that record everything in front of us. I just thought from experience of the past, that it was some type of safety video that they didn't like, and wanted to review it with me. I went upstairs twice to see him, but he had been gone both times.

So I decided just to blow it off. Until the day when I saw he was calling me again! I thought to myself, should I put the call or ignore it. I decided to take the call just to see what he wanted. He said he was calling because he knew we had missed each other a few times.

He went on to explain that he wanted to see me in person, because this was a great honor. He said I was being nominated for Trimac Transportation, driver of the year award! The safety man wanted to know some information about me. I told him quite a bit of information and where to find more.

I was completely surprised by this because this was really unexpected. I went from being in trouble, to maybe getting a big award! Since this is my last year of work till retirement, it would be nice to go out with a bang!
