Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
Today I saw Mike Adams in the driver's room. He said, "I can't train still, but they want me to go back to scheduling trainees. He explained that the company has re-instated him as the new driver scheduler. They agreed to pay him two-hundred dollars a month extra to do it, like as before. He agreed to do it again. He scheduled for a few decades, and always did a fantastic job!
Months ago Mike was transloading a load of nitric acid. The trainee got a little of the acid on his arm! The safety shower was too far away, so Mike was suspended because of it. Jesse, our gay safety guy was let go, he was doing the scheduling. Then Andre Wheeler was doing it, but he did a terrible job. Our new safety guy upstairs says that he doesn't have the time to do it.
I told Mike that after the way the company has treated him, I didn't know why he still works here. He has been with the company for thirty-five years and has well over a million dollars in investments. He also has a lot of land in East Texas that he inherited from his father.
He says he wants to get five more years in before retiring. It looks like he will be fully re-instated in about six weeks. That is what Sam Atkinson told him. He would schedule the trainees now, but no training himself, except the pump and compressor class, he will start teaching that class again. But no on-truck trainees for six weeks.
I'm just happy that I'm not involved with any of that mess. I just don't have the patience for that company politics anymore. I still will be a part time trainer for Mike when he has some overflow, but hopefully it will not be too often!
