Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
Well, I overslept this morning instead of waking up at four, I woke up at five-in-the-morning instead ! My phone was okay but the the alarm was set on silent! So I jumped out of bed and in ten minutes I was out the door! I can be very fast if I need to be!
I got to work and my truck was already hooked and ready to go. I got my coffee, Sam Atkinson is taking over for Cole Nelson, who is on vacation, so that meant I have no paperwork, but that's okay I didn't need any. In about fifteen minutes I was on my way!
I got to Daikin in Waller, TX, right on time! I unloaded my truck and everything went well. I went back across the street to pick up my container for tomorrow, and headed to the truck stop for my thirty minute break that's required by the DOT.
I decided to go to Irv's truck stop since I hadn't been there awhile, and I wanted some healthy food to eat. I drove two exits away and looked across the streets and Irv's was closed! Well, I made a u-turn, I looked at all the windows, they were all boarded up and the sign was off, and the driveway was blocked off!
I guess when they built a new truck stop on Kickapoo road it couldn't take more competition. Which is a shame since Irv's was a nice quiet little truck stop and had really good food. They had really good barbecue, plus they had really good wholesome meals. I will miss Irv's truck stop!
