Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I got to work and I find Mike Adams sitting in the drivers room. He has a flat tire on his trailer! We talked about that while I was making more coffee. I get back to my truck and start to drive off. Just as I get to the gate of the yard, the passenger windshield wiper blade flies off! I get out and try to put it back on, but I can't and it's too dark.
I back up back to the fuel island, where there is more light. I try to get it on, but it just will not stay on the bracket. So, I go into the drivers room and sit down with Mike! Both of us are now waiting. Mike for the tire road service, and I need to wait for the shop to open.
When the shop opens up, I swing the truck around and park it by the door. Chris, out truck mechanic, puts on a new one but it will not stay on ether, then he tries another new one, but its the same!
Now Juan, the shop manager is here. They looks at the new wipers and notice that the clips are defective! They get another brand of wiper, and put it on, and it clicks in place, like it should. Chris turns on the wipers and they both stay on!
I'm ready to go now! I drive around, get a coffee refill in my cup, and take off to Waller, TX. I get to Daiken in Waller, TX, and I hook-up the container and call for an operator. I hear on the radio that they are very busy. It took about an hour for them to get to me, to turn on the pump.
The load went off well and I did a little writing, and talked with Jerry for about forty minutes. When I was done Marcelino turned the pump off and took off, Jeremy was there and he offered to put the hoses in the tubes for me. That's always a big help!
I got my load for Monday at VLS Recovery and started for the yard. On the way back on the the Tomball Freeway (Hwy 249). There was a three car accident! One of the cars was definitely totaled! But it didn't look like anyone was hurt. It was only a fifteen minute delay.
I got back to the yard and packed up after turning in my paperwork, I got out of there. It is time to start my four day weekend! Today is Wednesday, tomorrow is the Fourth-of-July. My next load doesn't deliver until Monday morning! Four days off!
