Long Acid Line!

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Yesterday was a long day!  It was a sixteen hour long day!  The only thing worse than using your sixteen hour rule on Monday, is using it on a Tuesday!

It started out with my regular schedule load of Freon to Daikin in Waller Texas.  I got my loaded trailer for the next day and dropped it on the yard.  I then ate lunch and waited for something else to do to round out my day.

Cole was upstairs doing CPR training and Sam dispatched me to bobtail to qualawash, pick up a trailer and take it to Rohm and Haas. Going up Underwood drive, Cole called me and told me to turn around!

He said that he would pay me two hours for my trouble and that he had to get an acid load loaded at Brenntag.  The other trailer could wait until tomorrow.  So I turned around and went back to the yard.

I grabbed the trailer and take off to Brenntag to load.  It is already two in the afternoon!  When I get checked into the plant and made the loop to the acid rack, four other acid trucks were already in line!

I decided to wait in line with the other ones.  It would be three hours later before I got loaded and a total of four hours in the plant!  They used to load fast, but now they put a filter on the end of the loading hose.  That filter makes the loading much slower!

When I was driving back to the yard, I passed an accident!  On Sens road, by hwy 225, a truck pulling an ISO container overturned!  Now I understood that my day was not so bad after all!
